Research Interests
Luis currently studies polymer-protein bioconjugates for functional surface coatings as a part of the [biointerface science] subgroup. He is particularly interested in the physics of polymer adsorption and the resulting polymer brushes. As our group's resident polymer chemist, he spends most of his time synthesizing, functionalizing, characterizing, and studying synthetic polymers. Much to the rest of the group's dismay, he is also our ever-vigilant safety officer.
